For our hike in March, we are going to celebrate Women History Month by getting high above the city for a birdseye view of Las Vegas and the surrounding mountains. Turtle Head Peak is an iconic trail that I like to do every year before it gets hot. This 4.6-mile hike is a fitness workout over gravel terrain and a 2,000 feet elevation gain! However, for me, going down is the worst as it is easy to slip, so bring hiking poles.
The peak is 6,300 feet and for some reason, it reminds me of the last page from the children’s book, Go, Dog. Go! by P.D. Eastman. There is such a party atmosphere on the large open rock face. We will lay out and enjoy our picnic lunch, listen to a few favorite inspirational songs, and absorb all the good vibes before heading down.
Please email at hello@wildlifelv.com to receive the carpool and meeting point details.
NOTES:
Ladies, this is a challenging hike. Experienced hiking dogs must stay on leash.

4.6 miles out and back.
